about summer Uke fest...
|
Ukuleles of Utah Summer Uke Fest is an all-day event designed to provide a "hands-on" experience teaching skills and fostering appreciation for playing the Ukulele.
Teachers in our lineup of workshop classes are knowledgeable and interested in sharing their skills. We believe there will be something for everyone, no matter how much (or little) you know about the Ukulele.
Summer Uke Fest will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 @ the Episcopal Church @ 1131 South Main St., Centerville, UT (where we had the festival two years ago). It will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will end at approximately 5:00 p.m. This year there will be a nominal fee upon registration of---------- per family. Attendees certainly can walk in and pay the day of but we highly recommend that everyone planning to attend reserve their spot..."first come, first served" until all seats are filled. Navigate above to "REGISTRATION". Once again, children are welcome but must be accompanied the entire time by a responsible adult guardian.
After our three hours of workshops, everyone will be hungry so, lunchtime is factored into the schedule which will take place at 12:30 in the Big Room. You can enjoy whatever lunch you bring. Next, we invite you to participate at the Open Mic with a song you have prepared ahead of time, if you wish. We enjoy so much having our children and youth participate a the Open Mic and we really encourage it. It's a fun way for them to have the experience of performing as they build confidence. On the other hand, we realize not everyone is interested in performing so they are free to sit and enjoy the entertainment. Please navigate to the "Open Mic" page above for more information and signup.
At 2:00, Sing-Along Jam during the final hour where all of our remaining guests will participate in the Door Prize Give-away where prizes will be awarded during the Sing-Along Jam. Don't miss this year's Sing Along/Jam featuring Marci Villa from The Salt Lake Strummers who will lead us in a fun and memorable hour of ukulele music!
During this event, there will be venders set up with merchandise for sale for those of our guests who are interested in buying ukuleles and accessories provided by some of our sponsors. For more detailed information about the schedule, please go to the "Event Schedule" page on the navigation bar above.
